ETHOS — SYSTEMS, MIND & SOUND
I am a naturally reserved person who values consistency, quiet reliability, and functional minimalism. Beyond physical spaces, my curiosity spans human consciousness, the therapeutic history of psychedelics, the UAP phenomenon, and broader mysteries of our universe.
THE MIND & STRUCTURED ROUTINE
Navigating life with a neurodivergent mind shapes how I work and live. I manage everyday friction by leaning into structured, predictable routines.
These experiences make me an active advocate for mental health destigmatization. Seeking support is essential, and internal challenges are rarely solved by intellect alone.
THE MONIKER — WHAT IS A DECOY STATE?
In cryptography, a decoy state is an intentional test signal used to check for interference and protect communication.
As a music moniker, it represents an intentional creative space to filter out background noise, steady the mind, and focus in an overstimulated world.
RHYTHM, LOW FREQUENCIES & FOCUS
Sound is a primary tool for focus and sensory regulation. Repetitive, hypnotic rhythms and low-frequency bass provide steady structure where daily mental chatter fades into the background.
Much like computer science—where I value the resilience and simplicity of C, shell scripts, and UNIX—my approach to music is unpretentious and hands-on: experimenting with sound, discovering how rhythm fits together, and finding the groove that feels settled.
